DIY Projects with Recycled Junk

For some creative people ordinary junk can actually be a treasure. If you like to make things and use items that you recycle then you will like this new post from the team at Mr Junk Removal in Atlanta, GA.

How to Make a Necklace with Recycled Junk

Junk You’ll Need: paint, paint brush, Krylon clear gloss spray paint, necklace, and spare nuts

Nuts & Bolts

  1. Go for a treasure hunt in your garage, attic or spare room. See if you have any nuts that attach to things. Choose the spare nuts you want to use.
  2. Paint the nuts with two to three coats of different colored spray paint(use a paper plate to apply the paint to the nuts)
  3. If you have string, or ribbon in your craft bin you can use this for a necklace or you can find metal chains that are inexpensive at your local hobby or craft store.
  4. String the nuts on the necklace after the paint has completely dried. You can make a knot to tie the necklace or find some other junk around the house to create a fastener, like a button or seashell.
